Arsenal’s likely answer on Crystal Palace’s bid for Eddie Nketiah revealed

Eddie Nketiah is edging closer to a move to Crystal Palace, with Arsenal expected to accept a bid worth £25 million plus £5 million in add-ons. The offer is similar to the deal Nottingham Forest had in place for the striker earlier this summer, which ultimately fell through due to the player’s reluctance to move to the City Ground.

However, with Palace now entering the fray, the situation appears to have shifted. The south London club are keen to bolster their attacking options and see Nketiah as a valuable addition to their squad. Direct talks between the two clubs are now underway, and with no issues anticipated on personal terms, the transfer seems imminent.

The 25-year-old striker made 27 appearances for Arsenal last season, largely as a substitute, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Despite showing glimpses of his potential, Nketiah found himself behind Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard in the pecking order at the Emirates.

This move would provide him with a chance to establish himself as a regular starter, a crucial step in his development. Palace manager Roy Hodgson is known for his trust in young talent, and he is confident that Nketiah can flourish under his guidance.

With Arsenal looking to strengthen their squad with new signings, the sale of Nketiah would generate funds and provide more opportunities for other strikers within the team. The move appears to be a win-win for all parties involved, offering Nketiah a platform for success while bolstering Palace’s attacking options.

The transfer is expected to be finalized in the coming days, marking a significant moment in Nketiah’s career as he looks to take the next step in his development.
