Arsenal star sends heartfelt message to fans after his departure is confirmed

Arsenal have confirmed the departure of young midfielder Charlie Patino to Spanish side Deportivo La Coruña for a fee of £1 million. The deal includes a sell-on clause for Arsenal, ensuring a share of any future transfer profits.

Patino, who joined Arsenal at the age of 11, leaves the club after making his first-team debut in 2022. He also featured in the FA Cup and EFL Cup, showcasing his potential for the future. Despite his promising start, opportunities for regular first-team football proved limited, leading to his decision to move on.

In a heartfelt message to Arsenal fans, Patino expressed his gratitude for his time at the club:

“Dear Arsenal fans,

Firstly, I just want to say thank you for all the amazing memories that I have had at this historic club.

It has been an honour to represent Arsenal on and off the pitch.

I joined the club when I was 11 years old with a dream of one day making my debut for Arsenal. I was fortunate enough to make my dream a reality and for this I will always be grateful.

Thank you to the fans, team mates, coaches and everyone associated to the club.

Best of luck!”

Patino’s move to Deportivo La Coruña presents an opportunity for him to gain regular playing time and further his development in a new environment. While his departure marks the end of an era for the young midfielder at Arsenal, the Gunners will be hoping to see him continue to flourish in his new surroundings.
