Arsenal receive a huge boost in their pursuit of Emi Buendia

Emi Buendia has been one of the best players in the Championship this season and Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of the 24 year old.

The January transfer window has opened and Arsenal is one of the clubs that will be busy in terms of outgoings and possibly incomings. Arsenal made signing a new creative midfielder one of their top priorities for this window and it’s been reported that the gunners have identified Norwich City’s Emi Buendia as the best candidate and a new report now claims that the gunners might have received a boost.

Arsenal have failed to create enough chances this season hence finding themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League table and it is likely that Mikel Arteta might not include Mesut Ozil in the Premier League and UEFA Europa League squads hence the need for the North Londoners to try to sign a player like Emi Buendia.

Arsenal haven’t done anything notable in their pursuit of Emi Buendia but they have however received a boost in the pursuit of the Argentine international as a report by CBS Sports has confirmed that the 24 year old would be willing to push for a move to the Emirates in this January transfer window if they formalise their interest in him.

This will be a big boost for Arsenal as they will now be confident in their pursuit for Buendia as its clear that he would be happy with a move to the North London club and he would fit in well in Mikel Arteta’s side as he is a great attacking player that would be able to also handle the defending requirements from the manager. Buendia has been one of the top creative players in the Championship this season and the above report claims that he is among the players that Arsenal are interested in and that they could also consider including Reiss Nelson and Willock in the deal to bring him.
