Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal will today welcome Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in a few hours from now. It’s going to the first North London Derby for some new people at Arsenal including the coach himself because he also just arrived at the club in May. Unai Emery will be hoping to get a win in his first North London Derby so let’s take a look at the expected Arsenal lineup to face Tottenham Hotspur.

Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeping:

Unai Emery has made Bernd Leno his first choice goalkeeper because Petr Cech has failed to regain his position after he returned from a hamstring injury. Bernd Leno will however need to prove himself today because he will be up against a strong side that has many goal scorers.

Defence:

Bellerin and Kolasinac might start as full backs today because the gunners are probably still without Nacho Monreal and if his available, it’s not possible for him to start because he has been out for weeks. Unai Emery rested Mustafi and Sokratis on Thursday when the gunners faced Vorskla so they will probably start as centre backs against Tottenham Hotspur.

Central Midfield:

Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka have shown that they are the best in Arsenal’s central midfield this season, so they will again play today against Tottenham Hotspur.

Attacking Midfield:

Unai Emery left Mesut Ozil on the bench when they faced Bournemouth last weekend, and Alex Iwobi has been impressive in the last few weeks. Aubameyang scored last weekend so he can’t be benched even though Lacazette is back. So Arsenal’s attacking trio will consist of Iwobi, Ozil and Aubameyang.

Striking:

Lacazette missed Arsenal’s match against Bournemouth last Sunday but he has however returned to full training and will probably play against Spurs.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.

Funny how despite missing the match at Bournemouth, Auba managed to score a goal..

I think you meant Lacazette. 🙂
