Official: Arsenal Set to Sign Noni Madueke in Blockbuster Deal

Arsenal are on the verge of completing their latest summer signing after reaching a full agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of England winger Noni Madueke. As revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have now agreed a fee in excess of £50 million including add-ons, and the 22-year-old is expected to complete the move imminently.

Madueke had already agreed personal terms with Arsenal earlier in the week, with a five-year contract signed and sealed. His arrival will significantly boost Mikel Arteta’s attacking options and is a major statement of intent from Arsenal as they continue to reinforce their squad for the 2025/26 season.

The former PSV Eindhoven winger becomes the Gunners’ latest addition in a summer that has already seen key strategic moves made across various positions. Arsenal view Madueke as a powerful and versatile wide player who can operate predominantly on the right but is also comfortable cutting in from the left — offering valuable flexibility in Arteta’s tactical plans.

Despite being one of Chelsea’s more promising attacking players, Madueke had found himself in and out of the starting XI under different managers and was reportedly open to a move that would provide him with a clearer role and greater continuity. At Arsenal, he is expected to compete with Bukayo Saka, providing quality depth and easing the physical burden on the England international.

Madueke’s raw pace, flair, and dribbling skills have long been admired by Arsenal scouts, and his Premier League experience will be invaluable as the Gunners push on multiple fronts next season, including the Champions League.

This deal also marks a significant piece of business between two of the Premier League’s biggest rivals. Chelsea’s willingness to sell a young talent to a direct competitor underlines their need to balance the books amid Financial Fair Play pressures, while Arsenal saw an opportunity and moved decisively to act.

For Madueke, this represents a fresh start and the chance to establish himself as a regular at one of England’s most exciting clubs. A product of Crystal Palace’s youth academy before moving to PSV at a young age, Madueke returned to England in January 2023 to join Chelsea in a deal worth £30m. Now, just 18 months later, he’s set to switch London allegiances once again — this time, to the red side of the capital.

The deal is expected to be completed in the next 24–48 hours, with Madueke set to undergo his medical at Arsenal’s Sobha Realty Training Centre before the club makes an official announcement. Shirt number discussions are believed to be underway, with fans eagerly awaiting confirmation.

This signing not only strengthens Arsenal’s squad depth but also aligns with their long-term strategy of building a dynamic, youthful side capable of competing for major honours — and Madueke, still just 22, fits the profile perfectly.

I enjoy football so much and I am in love with Arsenal Football Club. I always watch the matches and will always give you my opinions about the game here.
