Arsenal fan favourite decides to leave after talks with Arteta
The summer transfer window may not be officially opened but clubs have started talking with other clubs on transfers. An Arsenal fan favourite is set to leave after talks with Mikel Arteta.
Aston Villa are reportedly set to rival Newcastle United in the race to sign Kieran Tierney from Arsenal this summer. The 25-year-old left-back made mostly substitute appearances for the Gunners last season, as manager Mikel Arteta preferred Oleksandr Zinchenko.
According to The Times UK, Tierney is expected to leave Arsenal this summer after holding talks with Arteta. Aston Villa are now said to be interested in signing the Scottish international, who could add depth and quality to their squad.
Despite missing out on the title, Arsenal are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. The departure of Tierney would be a blow, but they may be willing to let him go if the price is right.
Aston Villa are not the only club interested in Tierney, with Newcastle United also reportedly keen on signing him. The Magpies are looking to rebuild their squad after a fantastic season and could see Tierney as a key addition.

It remains to be seen where Tierney will end up, but it seems likely that he will leave Arsenal this summer. The Gunners will need to find a suitable replacement if they do decide to sell him, as he was an important player for them last season.
In conclusion, Aston Villa are reportedly set to rival Newcastle United in the race to sign Kieran Tierney from Arsenal this summer. The left-back made mostly substitute appearances for the Gunners last season and is expected to leave the club after holding talks with manager Mikel Arteta.

A CL season with 2 world class left back? Surely you don’t want to miss an opportunity you already possess??!!??
There must be a way to make it work in a 50+ games season.
Zinch and Tierney can be super subs adding to the different style of the other.
Keep Tierney. Parting with him sounds like a mad decision. He would be amazing again and again with Gabriel & Tierney. In any tough encounter be it in PL or CL.
I hope Mikel rethink this move..?
