PSG took the lead in the 27th minute when Fabián Ruiz unleashed a powerful volley from the edge of the area, leaving Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya with no chance. The goal came against the run of play, as Arsenal had dominated possession in the early stages.

Arsenal continued to press forward, seeking an equalizer. Their efforts were rewarded in the 75th minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net, giving the Gunners hope of a comeback. However, PSG’s defense held firm, and Arsenal were unable to find a second goal.

In the 83rd minute, Achraf Hakimi capitalized on a counter-attack to score PSG’s second goal of the night, effectively sealing the tie. Despite Arsenal’s late efforts, they were unable to alter the outcome.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s performance, stating that they were “superior across both legs” and expressed pride in their efforts. He acknowledged the influence of PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who made several crucial saves. Arteta emphasized the need to focus on upcoming domestic fixtures as Arsenal aims to secure a Champions League spot for the next season.

PSG advances to the Champions League final, where they will face Inter Milan on May 31 in Munich.
