Arteta gets given crucial advise on Bukayo Saka

Arsenal legend Lauren has issued a timely message to manager Mikel Arteta, emphasizing the importance of managing Bukayo Saka’s workload to ensure the winger’s long-term success.

Following Saka’s impressive performance in the Gunners’ 2-1 opening day win over Wolves, where he scored a crucial goal, Lauren highlighted the need for squad depth to allow the 22-year-old some much-needed rest.

“You play so many competitions this season, so you need maybe another player so that Saka can have some rest,” Lauren said. “It would be good to have another player there. The competitiveness is great, but it’s also about giving him some rest.”

Lauren’s message resonates with the concerns of many Arsenal fans who have witnessed Saka’s relentless commitment and crucial role in the team’s recent success. His ability to excel in both attack and defense, coupled with his versatility across the front line, has made him a vital component of Arteta’s setup.

However, the packed schedule of the upcoming season, with the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup all on the agenda, will place significant demands on the Arsenal squad. Lauren’s plea for additional squad depth, particularly in attacking positions, is a crucial reminder of the need to ensure Saka’s well-being and longevity.

While the arrival of Kai Havertz offers some competition for Saka, bolstering the attacking options further could allow Arteta to rotate his squad more effectively and provide Saka with the necessary respite to maintain his peak performance throughout the season.
