Arsenal receive bad news ahead of their match against Brighton

Arsenal have received a blow ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Brighton on Saturday, with Gabriel Jesus missing training on Wednesday. The Brazilian striker’s absence raises concerns over his fitness ahead of the Emirates Stadium encounter.

Jesus’ absence is particularly worrying given he struggled with injuries last season.

The Gunners currently sit third in the Premier League table with six points after two matches. A win against Brighton would see them leapfrog both Manchester City and Newcastle United, depending on the outcome of their respective fixtures.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side will be hoping that Jesus’ absence is merely a precautionary measure and that he will be available for the Brighton clash. The forward’s ability to lead the line and provide a focal point for the attack is crucial for Arsenal’s attacking fluidity.

Should Jesus fail to recover in time, Arsenal will be relying on other attacking options like Kai Havertz or  Leandro Trossard to step up and fill the void. The upcoming game promises to be a tense encounter, with both teams looking to secure a valuable three points.
