Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up on why Gabriel Martinelli has been so effective this season for the Gunners. The 21-year-old winger scored six league goals for Arsenal last season but has already scored 14 goals this season.
Arsenal is currently in a title race as they are currently first on the Premier League table with 73 points after 30 games but are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City which has 70 points. Martinelli has been one of their best players thanks to his impressive goal-scoring record and four assists.
Arteta believes that Martinelli’s success this season is due to his hard work and dedication. “He’s playing more games, that’s for sure,” he said. “He’s got another year of experience and a huge understanding with his teammates.”
The Arsenal manager also praised Martinelli’s approach to training and life, saying that he always strives to be the best. “And, it’s the way he approaches every single session, his training, his life – it is to be the best,” Arteta told BBC Sport. “When that happens, only good outcomes will be in front of him and I am not surprised about that.”

Martinelli joined Arsenal from Brazilian club Ituano in July 2019 and quickly made an impact at the club with his pace, skill, and eye for goal.
Martinelli’s form will be crucial for Arsenal as they look to win their first Premier League title since 2004. With just eight games left to play, every point will be crucial, and Martinelli’s ability to score goals could prove to be the difference between winning and losing.
In conclusion, Gabriel Martinelli has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season, and his impressive goal-scoring record is a testament to his hard work and dedication. With Arsenal in a title race, Martinelli’s form will be crucial in the remaining games of the season.
