Martinelli sends message to Arsenal fans and sick gooner after win over Leicester

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli scored for the gunners on Saturday as they beat Leicester City and he has sent a message to fans, and a sick gooner.

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli sent a message to the Gunners’ fans after their one nil win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. The win saw Arsenal go two points clear at the top of the Premier League after 24 games, with Manchester City just two points behind them.

The match started off slowly, with both teams struggling to create any real chances in the first half. However, Arsenal came out firing in the second half and it was Gabriel Martinelli who opened the scoring in the 46th minute. The Brazilian forward finished into the bottom corner to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead and his 9th goal of the season, along with 2 assists.

Martinelli was clearly delighted with his goal and sent a message to Arsenal fans on Twitter after the match: “Important 3 points away from home. That was for you Steven”. This was a reference to an Arsenal fan named Steven who is currently ill.

The win sees Arsenal two points clear at the top of the Premier League table and they will be looking to extend their lead when they face Manchester United next week. Martinelli will be hoping he can continue his impressive form and help fire Arsenal to their first league title since 2004.
