On Saturday, Arsenal made an interesting statistical record as they defeated Leicester one nil. The Gunners have now taken 31 points from just 13 away matches in the Premier League this season, more than they did in the whole of last season (28 points in 19 matches) as per William Hill.
The match started off with a slow start as both teams were unable to break the deadlock in the first half. However, Arsenal came out of the blocks quickly in the second half and Gabriel Martinelli scored the only goal of the game just 46 minutes into the second half. The goal was enough to secure all three points for Arsenal and send them two points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
The win was a huge boost for Arsenal who are now two points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the table. It was also a great result for manager Mikel Arteta who has been under pressure recently after some poor results. The win will give his team confidence going into their next match against Burnley on Sunday.
Overall, it was a great performance from Arsenal and it is clear that they are making progress under Arteta’s leadership. With 31 points from 13 away matches this season, they are well on their way to achieving their goals this season and could be set for a successful campaign if they continue to perform like this.
