REVEALED: Why Gabriel Martinelli is not training with Arsenal now

Arsenal supporters were curious as to why Gabriel Martinelli was not training with the squad but the truth has been revealed.

Arsenal young forward Gabriel Martinelli who arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the 2019 summer transfer window and made an instant impact by getting ten goals in his first season in England. There was a lot of questions from Arsenal supporters on Friday after the club released training footage on their official YouTube channel but none of the clips showed Gabriel Martinelli.

Gabriel Martinelli hasn’t had a lot of chances this season as it looks like he might have not impressed Mikel Arteta in the matches that he played at the start of the campaign when the North Londoners had a lot of injuries upfront. Gabriel Martinelli not being a favourite of Mikel Arteta was one of the reasons why the fans questioned why the Brazilian youngster wasn’t involved in training since this is supposed to be a perfect opportunity for him to try to impress the Spanish boss.

It was confusing for the Arsenal fans since Gabriel Martinelli had been involved in a behind closed doors game against Queens Park Rangers which he apparently impressed in earlier this week. The mystery has however been solved after Martinelli posted on Instagram a story of him relaxing in a pool with location tagged as Lisbon.

So the Instagram post confirms that Gabriel Martinelli has just been given some time off by Arsenal to relax as we still have a week before the international break ends and he hasn’t been sent to training with the U23 squad as some had theorized on social media.
