Arsenal will in a few minutes from now face Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium with the hope of getting all the three points to get closer to the Premier League top four. Arsenal’s lineup that will play in this game has been released and Mikel Arteta has made changes to the squad that played against Southampton in the FA Cup last weekend.

ARSENAL STARTING ELEVEN TO FACE SOUTHAMPTON

Leno, Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Soares, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Lacazette

SUBSTITUTES:

Ryan, Gabriel, Chambers, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Willock, Willian, Martinelli, Nketiah

Arsenal come into this game with confidence after having kept five clean sheets in their last five Premier League games and this will be a must win game for Mikel Arteta as the fans will want him to show that him getting knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup was due to him prioritising the Premier League over it.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will hope that they continue winning their next Premier League games as they will want to start the knock out stage of the UEFA Europa League in high spirits as it could also provide a way back into the UEFA Champions League as the winner gets automatic qualification to next year’s UCL.
