Arsenal will take on Chelsea today at Wembley Stadium in the Emirates FA Cup final and Mikel Arteta will come into this game well knowing that it will have high consequences on him building his squad and so he will need to select a team that can get the win. So here’s Arsenal’s predicted lineup with all eyes on Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE CHELSEA IN THE FINAL
TEXT FORM: Martinez, Tierney, Luiz, Holding, Xhaka, Ceballos, Saka, Cedric, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Pepe
FORMATION: 3-4-3
GOALKEEPING:
It is still not certain if Bernd Leno will be in the matchday squad but what is for sure is that Emiliano Martinez will be in between the goal posts as Arteta said that he had earned it after his impressive performances in the league and the FA Cup.
THREE MAN DEFENCE:
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta lost Shkodran Mustafi to a long term injury and so Rob Holding will fill in for the German and be in the three man defence with Kieran Tierney and David Luiz. Arteta will this very system that beat City against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
WINGBACKS:
There are rumours that Ainsley Maitland-Niles could start as a left wing back for the gunners today but Arteta is expected to opt for Saka since his pace and skill will be needed to dismantle The Blues and the young Englishman has seemed to combine well with Aubameyang on the left flank. Cedric Soares might also start as he is a bit more solid in defence than Hector Bellerin.
CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS:
The pivot partnership of Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos has been impressive in the last few matches and so there’s no reason why they should not start together in the final. These two will link Arsenal’s defence and attack.
FRONT THREE:
Arsenal will use their front three in this FA Cup final as Chelsea are very fragile at the back and so Arteta will try to exploit that by starting the trio of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe.
We apologize for including Cedric Soares. He won’t be involved today as he is cup tied and we believe Bellerin will start today.
