William Saliba officially becomes Arsenal’s third summer signing

William Saliba has officially joined the gunners after getting linked with them for about five weeks. The young defender will however be loaned back.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of William Saliba from Saint-Etienne for €29million but the gunners will however have to send him back on loan for the 2019/20 campaign. The young defender becomes the second player to be announced by Arsenal today.

The 18-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Arsenal and he makes this move after making a breakthrough to the first team of Saint-Etienne last season and Arsenal spending a lot of money on him clearly shows how the club wanted to make sure that it brought him as there are high chances that his value could be doubled after just one season. Tottenham Hotspur almost hijacked William Saliba’s move to Arsenal but his desire to join the gunners made Unai Emery’s side to win the race for the signature of the French international.

WILLIAM SALIBA IS OFFICIALLY A GUNNER

William Saliba is one of the best prospects in France and most pundits claim that he will be an outstanding centre back as he is strong, tall and is good on the ball which are some of the requirements that you need from defenders these days. The Arsenal scouting team and the fans will keep an eye on the matches that he plays in this upcoming 2019/20 campaign.
