Emery holds first team meeting since the Europa League final

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has today held a team meeting and conducted the first pre-season training to prepare for the upcoming new season.

The Arsenal players have returned for pre-season training today and Unai Emery has conducted training for the first time since May. The gunners have officially started preparing for the 2019/20 campaign but they will however have to first play some pre-season matches before their first Premier League game in August.

The Arsenal players that did not receive a call up from their national teams like Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shkodran Mustafi were all present today at the London Colney to prepare for the new upcoming season. Arsenal’s new signing Gabriel Martinelli will be joining the first team as earlier speculated and he was also in the squad that trained today.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery first called a team meeting before the players begun training as he always does. And of course, Freddie Ljungberg is now among the coaches of the first team and it looks like some of his youngsters will join the squad as Bukayo Saka was also with the senior team.

Some of the Arsenal players like Nelson, Guendouzi, Sokratis and others who were involved in some international matches this summer were given an extended holiday but could however also come back in the coming weeks.
