Unai Emery hints at dropping Mesut Ozil in the Manchester United game

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery does not have a main starting lineup because he keeps rotating and he has now hint at benching Mesut Ozil on Sunday.

Arsenal will tomorrow face Manchester United hoping to get a win so that they can go back to the Premier League top four because that’s their main target this season. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will really need the three points because he is currently underpressure because his team is on the verge of getting knocked out of the Europa League.

Mesut Ozil was in the starting eleven of Arsenal that faced Rennes on Thursday and even though the gunners lost the match 3-1, the German international did not have a bad performance and some of the Arsenal fans would be happy to see him in the lineup that takes on Manchester United tomorrow evening.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has recently not been starting Mesut Ozil in matches against the big six sides and it seems that won’t be changing this weekend as the boss has hint at dropping the German international when he revealed the type of the squad that he will use.

“We need fresh players, players with energy, we need quality, we need good combinations, and we need the players who start on the bench after they can help us on the pitch and deliver a big performance as well.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.

Mesut Ozil has over the years been heavily criticized for his poor work rate and Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery has stated that he will use players with energy. This will possibly see Aaron Ramsey start over Mesut Ozil because he has an incredible work rate and that’s something that Emery values.
