Report: Arsenal’s possible opponents in Europa League round of 16

Arsenal progressed to the UEFA Europa League round of 16 by beating Bate Borisov 3-0 at home.

Arsenal overcame an earlier scare when they lost 1-0 in Borisov by convincingly winning 3-0 at the Emirates courtesy of goals from Mustafi, Sokratis as well as an own goal. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will be hoping to see his team progress up-to the finals because winning the UEFA Europa League is another route to the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal today will find out who they face in the next round scheduled to take place next month. The draw will take place at 12:00 pm(UK time) in Nyon,Switzerland.

The 16 teams are; Arsenal, Chelsea, RB Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb, Slavia Prague, Rennes, Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter Milan, Napoli, Benfica, Krasnodar, Zenit, Sevilla, Valencia, Villarreal and Dynamo Kiev.

At this stage of the competition, there is no seeding and no restrictions of countries facing others. Therefore, anyone can face anyone. So there’s a possibility of Arsenal facing London rivals Chelsea.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that their side avoids drawing teams like Sevilla,Chelsea,Inter-Milan and Napoli at this stage since the mentioned teams are favorites alongside the Gunners.

Arsenal fans will be hoping to get drawed with clubs like Slavia Prague and Dynamo Kiev.
