Mesut Ozil reacts on Arsenal’s upcoming match vs Southampton

Mesut Ozil will today be hoping to prove to Unai Emery that he deserves to be starting all matches by putting on a top performance vs the Saints.

Mesut Ozil was ill about a week ago but he returned at the start of this week and had an incredible performance in Arsenal’s UEFA Europa League game with Bate Borisov. The German international will be hoping to be in the selected starting lineup to face the Saints so that he could cement his place in Unai Emery’s first eleven ahead of the upcoming matches.

Mesut Ozil has not started many away matches this season because Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes that he is a liability when they are not at the Emirates Stadium but luckily for the 30-year-old, Southampton will be facing the gunners at their home ground so there are high chances of him being in the lineup.

Mesut Ozil is a fan favourite at Arsenal and he has a huge following on social networks, and he has reacted on their upcoming match vs Southampton by revealing the current mood in the Arsenal camp ahead of this must win match. The former Real Madrid star tweeted a picture of them smiling in training, captioned; “Current mood ???? #teamspirit #WeAreTheArsenal #COYG #M1Ö.”

Mesut Ozil will need to impress in this match if he gets a chance to be selected by the boss because he has been accused many times of impressing in one game and later going missing him in the following matches. A good game vs Southampton would surely change the bad thoughts that Unai Emery has about him.
