A reborn Red Devils team under Ole Gunnar Solskjær up against a revived Gunners side, is football bliss at its best. All those who had the privilege of watching the last match between Arsenal and Manchester United will agree with me that there was unfinished business between the two and will hope to witness an exciting game of football. Furthermore this will be a tiebreaker because out of 14 FA Cup knock out games the records are at par for either teams.
All eyes will be on United’s new caretaker manager who has guided them to 7 victories in a row, nevertheless this won’t be a walk in the park for Ole Gunnar. Minimal changes are expected in the United starting lineup, Ole Gunnar will pay particular attention to Arsenal’s formation and team selection in an endeavour to neutralize the threat of Unai Emery’s team.
Manchester United will be without Marouane Fellaini, Marcos Rojo, and Chris Smalling and Doubtful are Luke Shaw and Marcus Rushford. Apart from that it’s expected to be a strong side but cautious team to rest some players with their tight schedule.
Unai Emery has proved to be no push-around with a recent win over Chelsea and his men will be high in confidence. With lesser European commitment, Arsenal are expected to lineup with a strong team. Missing from the team are Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck because of long-term injuries.
Laurent Koscielny has made a great return to the starting IX bringing the much-needed leadership and steel to the amusement of many fans . In addition to that Unai Emery has changed the team once more to a diamond formation which seems to bring the best out of the team.
The gunners will look to relive the joy of winning the FA Cup once more but before that, they have to overcome a very familiar foe. Ole Gunnar was part of a Manchester United as a player that hard fair share of success in the FA Cup but whether he can do it as a manager is something worth the wait.
