Unai Emery receives good news ahead of the North London Derby

Arsenal will tomorrow welcome Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium for the second time this month. It is an encounter in the Carabao Cup quarter finals and the gunners will be hoping to progress to the next round so that Unai Emery can win his first trophy as early as February.

Arsenal’s 22 game unbeaten run ended on Sunday when the gunners made a visit to the Saint Mary’s Stadium to take on Southampton. The gunners lost Hector Bellerin in the first half after he got an injury and the Arsenal fans are worried about how long he will be out because they have lost many players to injuries in December.

Arsenal has just released the latest team news ahead of the Carabao Cup encounter against Tottenham Hotspur and here’s what they had to say about Hector Bellerin.

“Left calf. Being assessed ahead of Tottenham Hotspur (h) on Wednesday, December 19.”

So this is great news for Unai Emery and the Arsenal supporters because the Spanish right back isn’t ruled out of the North London Derby. He will be needed if the gunners want to have a performance similar to that which got them a 4-2 win against their arch rivals a few weeks ago.

During Arsene Wenger’s 22 year stay at Arsenal, he failed to win the EFL Cup or Carabao Cup because he used to criticize it but the Arsenal fans will be hoping that Unai Emery manages to win it in his first season.
