Aaron Ramsey has entered into the final year of his contract and the gunners were a few months eager to offer him a new deal because their new boss Unai Emery had spoken how important the midfielder was to him.
The gunners withdrew the new deal which Aaron Ramsey was about to sign and this must have also come as a big surprise to the midfielder because he was at first the one who first hesitated in signing it. Arsenal fans have mixed reactions on this Aaron Ramsey transfer saga but majority of them believe that the North London club was right to do that because players have now started asking for huge wages yet they some don’t deserve such salaries.
Everyone was complaining on why Aaron Ramsey has not made any comment on the transfer rumours linking him away from the Emirates Stadium but he has finally given his comment, he’s not saying that the reports are false but rather confirms the reports of Arsenal withdrawing the new deal which he was about to sign. The Wales international has confirmed that he will finish this season while at Arsenal, so this dismisses any reports of him leaving in January.
“Everything has been going great with the club. We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that’s no longer the case.” said Aaron Ramsey as reported by Independent.
“That’s a decision that they have made and things happen in football. So I just have to carry on playing my football and do my best for Arsenal this season and I’ll leave the rest with the club now.”
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal will go against their decision and offer Aaron Ramsey a new deal if he performs well in these last months of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.
