Xhaka's Thunderbolt Goal
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka was in action last night for Switzerland which he inspired to a 2-1 win over Serbia who were the first to put the ball into the back of the net.
The midfielder rose to the challenge last night as Switzerland looked for an equaliser and Granit Xhaka became their hero in the second half after he scored with a thunderbolt shot which went directly to the far post, and going into the back of the net to make it 1-1.
Xhaka could have scored one of the best goals in the tournament or if not being chosen as the goal of the tournament in the coming weeks. Here is a video showing Xhaka’s rocket shot.
Switzerland later on finished off the match with a goal with Shaqiri scoring the second goal in the last minutes of the game. Granit Xhaka signed a new deal to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium so he will be hoping that his boss Unai Emery was watching as he inspired Switzerland to a win.
