Wenger Gives Latest Update On Ozil And Sanchez Contract Negotiations

The gunners have had a hard time trying to convince their stars Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to extend their contracts at the Emirates stadium.

The gunners have been facing a lot of speculations over the future of their duo star players because both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have been linked with a number of top European clubs so Arsenal supporters have been always on the look out on the update about the contract extensions of the German and Chilean internationals.

Arsene Wenger has today given an update on whether the gunners are close to agreeing to a new deal for the duo but the manager says that there is no development on that matter. Here is what the French manager said after being asked on that matter;

“No decision has been made on that front.’ the manager told beIN SPORTS.

‘Do we let anyone go in January,We will have to think about that to see where we stand with them at the end of December.’

According to this statement by the manager, it seems he has given Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez an ultimatum to try and impress him and the supporters so that he starts thinking on whether he will be offering them new deals at the Emirates stadium but this comes after there has been constant reports suggesting that the duo will be leaving London in January. This comes after it was reported that Mesut Ozil has been offered a whooping offer by Atletico Madrid.

Most football analysts and pundits believe that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are the best players that the North London club has had in many years so they say that it would be better if Arsene Wenger tries to convince them to stay rather than letting them go because a new replacement would need much time to adapt to the playing style of Arsenal.
