Arsene Wenger signed a new 2 year contract extension in the month of May amidst protests from the supporters who were against it.

The gunners were promised by Arsene Wenger that he was going to show the supporters a new Arsenal with a capable squad that could even challenge for silverware this season but it seems that all those hopes have not become fruitful.

The manager has opened up on the topic which every Arsenal supporters would wish to hear and he confirmed that he won’t be leaving at the end of the season.

“I said I sit down with the board at every end of season and see where we will go from there, so that is not exactly the same.’ the manager told beIN SPORTS.

‘I have a 2 year contract, I will always try to go to the end of my but will always have the honesty to sit down with the board and to see where we go from there, that is quite simple.”

The gunners feel betrayed by their manager because he promised them a new squad that has quality players but Arsenal have not been that impressive as they have only obtained 19 points and are currently in the 6th position which adds pressure on the supporters who are now worried that the North London team may miss out for UEFA Champions League again which could make the sponsors annoyed. The gunners started the season on a poor note because they only secured only three points from their first three English Premier League with conceding 9 goals and the have been conceding so much up to now.

There was a report which was saying that the Arsenal board were going to review their decision of offering Arsene Wenger a new deal at the end of this season but the Frenchman denied all these and is confident he will fully follow the contract terms in his contract with no troubles so he is sure that he can’t get sacked by Arsenal. The gunners will be welcoming Tottenham Hotspurs at the Emirates stadium this Saturday and the supporters are worried because the manager has been making wrong decisions when facing a big team, with a perfect example being Arsene Wenger’s decision to change formation against Manchester City.
