RB Leipzig Tell Arsenal How Much To Pay For Benjamin Sesko

RB Leipzig continue to hold high hopes of cashing in big on striker Benjamin Šeško this summer, with internal targets set between €80 million and €100 million. The Bundesliga club view the 22-year-old Slovenian as one of their most valuable assets and are prepared to drive a hard bargain. However, despite those lofty ambitions, the reality of the current market may push Leipzig toward a more moderate valuation — somewhere in the region of €70 million plus performance-related add-ons.

According to emerging reports, Leipzig have yet to receive a concrete offer for Šeško, even though interest is mounting rapidly. Arsenal, who are widely known to be in the market for a young, dynamic striker, are monitoring the situation closely and are believed to be considering a bid. Other European clubs have also made inquiries, but nothing official has been tabled.

Arsenal Remain Front-Runners

Despite no bids being submitted so far, Arsenal continue to be strongly linked with Šeško. The striker has long been admired at the Emirates, where he’s seen as a perfect blend of physicality, youth, and high upside. At just 22 years old, the Slovenian international is already drawing comparisons to the likes of Erling Haaland due to his size, pace, and goal-scoring instincts.

Arsenal’s recruitment team is reportedly aligned on Šeško being their top target, with other options like Viktor Gyökeres still under discussion. However, Šeško’s age and ceiling make him a more strategic fit for the club’s long-term vision. He would also represent a key piece in Mikel Arteta’s evolving squad, which is aiming not only to challenge for domestic glory but also to establish itself as a European powerhouse.

Leipzig Prepared to Negotiate

While Leipzig would love to command a nine-figure fee, there’s an understanding within the club that they may need to adjust expectations if no club meets their desired valuation. A fee closer to €70 million, potentially rising through add-ons and bonuses, is being viewed as a more realistic figure among interested parties. This would still represent a significant profit for Leipzig, who signed Šeško from Red Bull Salzburg in a pre-agreed deal just a year ago.

Given the level of interest and the summer window stretching ahead, Leipzig are under no immediate pressure to sell. They know that as the transfer market heats up, clubs may become more aggressive in their approaches — especially if other top strikers are quickly taken off the table.

Next Steps in the Transfer Saga

Šeško’s camp is believed to be calm about the situation. The player has not agitated for a move but is open to joining a club where he can take the next step in his development. Arsenal, aware of the competition, are expected to advance their interest in the coming weeks.

For now, Leipzig’s dream valuation stands — but market realities may soon force a more grounded negotiation. The striker merry-go-round is spinning, and Benjamin Šeško is firmly at the centre.
