Arsenal Submit Offer Of €75 Million For 52 Goal Striker

Arsenal have submitted their first official offer of €75 million for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres. The Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the Swedish international, who is reportedly keen on a move to North London.

Born on June 4, 1998, in Stockholm, Sweden, Gyökeres is currently 26 years old. He has had an outstanding 2024/25 season with Sporting CP, scoring 52 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions. In the Primeira Liga alone, he has netted 38 goals in 30 matches, leading the league’s scoring charts. His Champions League campaign has also been impressive, with 6 goals in 8 appearances.

Arsenal’s bid reflects their intent to bolster their attacking options ahead of the next season. With Gyökeres’s proven goal-scoring record and versatility in the forward line, he is seen as an ideal fit for Mikel Arteta’s system. The club’s proactive approach in agreeing personal terms suggests confidence in securing the striker’s signature.

Sporting CP, however, are expected to hold out for a fee closer to Gyökeres’s €100 million release clause. Negotiations are ongoing, and Arsenal remain hopeful of reaching an agreement that satisfies all parties involved.

Should the transfer materialize, Gyökeres would become one of Arsenal’s marquee signings, bringing a prolific goal threat to the Emirates Stadium. His addition would aim to enhance the team’s competitiveness in both domestic and European competitions.
