Three Arsenal Players Set To Leave The Club In The Summer

Arsenal are bracing for significant changes in their midfield this summer, with both Thomas Partey and Jorginho set to leave the club once their contracts expire at the end of the season, according to recent reports. The duo, who have been key figures in Mikel Arteta’s squad, have not agreed to extensions, making their departures almost inevitable unless circumstances change drastically. Meanwhile, winger Leandro Trossard is in discussions over a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2026.

Partey & Jorginho Set for Summer Exits

Thomas Partey and Jorginho have played crucial roles in Arsenal’s midfield over the past few seasons, but their time at the club appears to be coming to an end. Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020, has struggled with injuries this season, limiting his impact on the team. When fit, the Ghanaian has provided a strong presence in midfield, but his ongoing fitness concerns may have contributed to Arsenal’s decision not to renew his deal.

Jorginho, on the other hand, arrived from Chelsea in January 2023 as an experienced option for Arteta’s side. Despite proving to be a reliable figure in Arsenal’s midfield, particularly in high-pressure games, his contract is also set to run out at the end of the season. With Arsenal eyeing midfield reinforcements in the summer transfer window, it appears the club is ready to move on from both players and reshape their options in the middle of the park.

Trossard in Contract Talks

While Partey and Jorginho are preparing for their exits, Arsenal are actively working on securing the future of Leandro Trossard, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2026. The Belgian attacker has been an important squad player since his arrival from Brighton in January 2023, contributing with key goals and assists in multiple competitions.

Talks over a new contract are ongoing, with Arsenal keen to ensure that Trossard remains part of their long-term plans. Given his ability to play across the front three and his experience at the top level, securing his future could be a smart move for the Gunners.

Arsenal’s Summer Plans Taking Shape

With Partey and Jorginho leaving, Arsenal are expected to be active in the transfer market, with a new central midfielder high on their list of priorities. The club has been linked with several midfield reinforcements, including Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi, who is reportedly close to joining Arsenal.

As for Trossard, if a new deal is agreed, he will likely continue to play a vital role in Arsenal’s attacking depth. However, should the Belgian hesitate on signing an extension, Arsenal might have to make a decision on his future sooner rather than later.

As the season nears its conclusion, Arsenal fans will be watching closely to see how the squad evolves, with big changes expected in midfield and key contract decisions yet to be finalized.
