REVEALED: The big headache that Arteta is facing ahead of Tottenham’s game

Mikel Arteta faces a major headache in midfield as Arsenal prepare for the crucial North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur. The Gunners are already dealing with a host of injury concerns that could significantly impact their chances of securing a positive result.

Declan Rice, a key Arsenal player, got a red card in the recent draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, leaving his availability for the derby impossible. The lack of his availability has raised alarm bells within the Arsenal camp.

Adding to Arteta’s woes, new signing Mikel Merino was ruled out for months after suffering an injury during his first training session with the club. The Spanish midfielder’s absence further weakens Arsenal’s midfield options.

To make matters worse, captain and midfield maestro Martin Ødegaard picked up an ankle injury while playing for Norway in the UEFA Nations League. The severity of the injury is still being assessed, but there is a strong possibility he will miss the derby, dealing a major blow to Arsenal’s hopes.

With their midfield depleted, Arteta will have to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by the injured trio. The manager faces a daunting task in finding a solution to this midfield crisis and ensuring that Arsenal are adequately prepared for the high-stakes clash against their fierce rivals.
