BREAKING: Arsenal finally complete the long awaited deal to sign Mikel Merino

Arsenal fans can rejoice! The long-awaited transfer of Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino to the Emirates Stadium is on the verge of completion, according to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano, who has a reputation for being one of the most reliable sources for transfer news, has confirmed that the deal is in its final stages. “We are at the final meters & final details of the Mikel Merino to Arsenal deal,” he revealed on social media. “They’re almost there, working on the final steps.”

According to Romano, the two clubs have already agreed on the final fee, and are currently working through the finer details of the deal structure, including payment terms, add-ons, and other key clauses. “It could be something like 24-48 hours before we can say, ‘HERE WE GO’ — it’s really, really close,” Romano added.

The news of Merino’s imminent arrival is a welcome boost for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who is looking to further strengthen his squad following the signing of Riccardo Calafiori earlier this summer. Merino’s arrival will provide additional depth and competition to the midfield, adding a player of proven quality and experience to the Gunners’ ranks.

The 28-year-old Spanish midfielder, who scored five goals and provided three assists for Real Sociedad last season, is widely regarded as one of La Liga’s most talented midfielders. His arrival at Arsenal could be a game-changer for the Gunners, adding a much-needed creative and versatile element to the team’s midfield.
