Arteta’s Arsenal reject another €27million bid for highly coveted gunners star

The transfer saga surrounding Eddie Nketiah’s potential move to Olympique Marseille has taken a new turn, with Arsenal rejecting a €27 million bid from the French club, according to renowned transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners are reportedly holding firm on their valuation of the English striker, deeming the Marseille offer insufficient. While personal terms have been agreed upon between Nketiah and the French side, the deal remains in limbo due to the lack of agreement between the two clubs.

Despite being primarily a substitute last season, Nketiah made a significant impact for Arsenal, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 27 appearances. His ability to provide a goal threat from the bench proved crucial for the Gunners, who finished second in the Premier League.

Nketiah’s departure would leave Arsenal with limited attacking options, as they seek to challenge for the title this season. With Gabriel Jesus still recovering from injury and Folarin Balogun potentially leaving the club, the Gunners may be hesitant to let go of Nketiah, especially for a fee they consider too low.

It remains to be seen whether Marseille will increase their offer to meet Arsenal’s demands. If the two clubs can reach an agreement, Nketiah’s move to France would be a significant transfer, potentially opening the door for a new chapter in his career. However, for now, the transfer remains uncertain, leaving Arsenal fans anxiously awaiting further developments.
