Arsenal fans receive a new update on Eddie Nketiah’s future at the club

Olympique Marseille have reignited their pursuit of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, submitting a new bid to the Gunners, according to Fabrizio Romano. The French club’s renewed interest comes after initial talks stalled earlier this summer.

Nketiah, who enjoyed a productive campaign with five goals and two assists in 27 appearances for Arsenal, is reportedly keen on a move to Marseille. The 24-year-old is attracted by the project at the Ligue 1 club and the opportunity for a more prominent role in their attack.

However, Marseille are keen on conducting the transfer on their terms. They are believed to be willing to return to negotiations but will only advance the deal if they can secure the player at a price that aligns with their budget.

Despite being a valuable member of the Arsenal squad, Nketiah’s playing time was limited last season, with most of his appearances coming off the bench. The arrival of new signings and the presence of established forwards at the Emirates Stadium has led to increased competition for places in the attack.

A move to Marseille would offer Nketiah a chance to be a key player for a club with ambitious plans. The Ligue 1 side are aiming to challenge for the title and make a strong impact in European competitions.

The outcome of these negotiations remains uncertain, but with both sides expressing interest, the possibility of Nketiah swapping North London for the south of France is certainly alive.
