Riccardo Calafiori joins up with Arsenal teammates as official announcement looms

The wait for Riccardo Calafiori’s official arrival at Arsenal is nearing its end, as the Italian left-back is now in the United States, joining the Gunners for their pre-season tour. Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reported that Calafiori has already completed his medical in London and is set to meet his new teammates soon.

This development confirms the imminent completion of the transfer, which has been in the works for several weeks. Arsenal agreed a €40 million fee with Bologna for the talented 22-year-old, seeing him as a valuable addition to their defensive ranks.

Although an official announcement is yet to be made, the presence of Calafiori in the US alongside the Arsenal squad suggests that the deal is all but finalized. The Gunners are keen to integrate him into their pre-season program, giving him the opportunity to adapt to the team’s style of play and build chemistry with his new teammates.

The arrival of Calafiori is expected to provide significant competition for the starting left-back position, adding depth and quality to Mikel Arteta’s squad. His youthful exuberance, attacking instincts, and impressive technical abilities make him a promising prospect for the future.

Arsenal fans will be eagerly awaiting the official confirmation of Calafiori’s arrival, signaling another important piece in the club’s continued pursuit of success. The presence of the young Italian on the pre-season tour signifies that the transfer is a mere formality away from being completed, adding further excitement to the Gunners’ preparations for the upcoming season.
