REVEALED: Statistics of Arsenal’s soon to be new signing Riccardo Calafiori

As Arsenal look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, they have reportedly set their sights on Riccardo Calafiori, a talented center-back who impressed during the 2023/24 Serie A campaign. The 22-year-old Italian has caught the eye of the Gunners with his impressive performances for Bologna, and a summer move to the Emirates Stadium is being mooted.

Calafiori’s statistics tell a compelling story, showcasing his defensive prowess and ability to impact the game on both ends of the pitch. He led Bologna in key defensive metrics, including the most possessions won (194), aerial duels won (60), and interceptions (50). His versatility was also evident, as he contributed five assists, demonstrating his ability to initiate attacks from the back.

Ars.enal finished the 2023/24 season in second place, just two points behind champions Manchester City. However, they are keen to continue their progress and challenge for the title next season. Calafiori’s defensive attributes and ability to contribute in the final third make him a potentially valuable addition to Arteta’s squad.

While the transfer is still in its early stages, the interest from Arsenal is clear. If the Gunners can secure his signature, they will be adding a promising young talent who could play a significant role in their quest for Premier League glory.l
