Arsenal’s response revealed at incoming £20million offer for Eddie Nketiah

In a move that highlights Arsenal’s determination to hold on to their prized assets, the club is set to reject an impending £20 million offer from Marseille for striker Eddie Nketiah, as per reports from TEAMtalk.

Nketiah, who made 27 appearances for the Gunners last season, most of them as a substitute, managed to contribute 5 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League as Arsenal finished a commendable second in the table.

Despite the 25-year-old’s limited playing time, the North London club has slapped a hefty £40 million price tag on the English forward, a clear indication of his value to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The steep valuation is a testament to Nketiah’s potential and the club’s faith in his ability to continue developing into a top-level striker. Arsenal’s technical director, Edu Gaspar, has emphasized the importance of retaining the core of the squad that has helped the team challenge for major trophies.

Marseille, who have been long-term admirers of Nketiah, were hoping to lure the forward to the Ligue 1 with the promise of regular first-team football. However, Arsenal’s firm stance on the valuation of the player may prove to be a significant obstacle in any potential transfer negotiations.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Arsenal’s commitment to keeping Nketiah at the Emirates Stadium will be closely watched by both the player and the club’s supporters, who will be eager to see the young striker continue his development in North London.
