Santi Cazorla was a very big fan favourite at Arsenal during his time at the Emirates Stadium and the Spanish star has hint at a possible return.
SANTI CAZORLA
Former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has opened up about the possibility of returning to the Emirates Stadium, hinting at a future role at the club he once graced as a player. Cazorla, who now plays for Oviedo, recently spoke to Sky Sports about his conversations with current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and his thoughts on a potential return.
“Of course, I was fortunate to share a dressing room with Mikel Arteta and now he is the manager. We had conversations about that but right now I am not focused on anything other than contributing to this club, Oviedo, and continuing to enjoy football as a player,” Cazorla said.
The Spanish midfielder, known for his incredible skill and vision, enjoyed a successful spell at Arsenal, where he became a fan favorite. Despite his focus on his current club, Cazorla acknowledged that Arsenal has always left the door open for a potential return. “After that, we will see what the future holds for me. It is clear that Arsenal is a club that has always left the door open to me to return. But right now, I have enough on my mind with the play-offs and trying to enjoy the last days of my playing career,” he added.
With Cazorla expected to retire soon, any return to Arsenal would likely be in a non-playing role. His experience and deep connection with the club could make him a valuable addition to Arteta’s staff or in another capacity within the organization. His potential return has sparked excitement among Arsenal fans who fondly remember his contributions on the pitch.
As Cazorla focuses on concluding his playing career on a high note with Oviedo, the possibility of seeing him back at the Emirates in a new role remains an intriguing prospect for the future. For now, the Arsenal faithful will be keeping an eye on their beloved former midfielder and hoping for his eventual return to North London.
