New area that Arteta has improved that is usually overlooked by Arsenal fans

Arsenal has been impressive this season as they are at the top of the Premier League table but there is one area that he has massively improved.

Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title has been fueled by a historic defensive effort, particularly on the road. The numbers paint a striking picture: “Arsenal have kept 11 clean sheets on the road in the league this season. The only campaign where they have kept more in their history was 1990-91 when they managed 13 shut outs.” This remarkable achievement underscores the incredible transformation under manager Mikel Arteta.

For years, Arsenal’s defense was considered a vulnerability, often crumbling under pressure against top opposition. This season, they’ve flipped the script, building a defensive fortress away from the Emirates Stadium. Their ability to shut out opponents in hostile environments is a testament to their tactical discipline, collective commitment, and the newfound resilience instilled by Arteta.

The center-back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes has been nothing short of exceptional, combining physicality, tactical awareness, and an unyielding desire to keep the ball out of their net. Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has also been a commanding presence, making crucial saves and organizing the defense with confidence.

This defensive solidity has provided the foundation for Arsenal’s attacking talents to flourish. Knowing they have a robust backline, the likes of Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Jesus have been able to express themselves freely, contributing to a potent attacking force.

While the title race hangs in the balance, Arsenal’s defensive accomplishments are undeniable. They’ve etched their names in the club’s history books with their away clean sheet record, a testament to a defensive masterclass that has been the bedrock of their success this season.
