Arteta reportedly reveals to Arsenal leadership his main January transfer target

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is making a determined push to secure the signature of Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi in the current January transfer window, according to reports from GiveMeSport.

The move comes at a pivotal moment for Arsenal, who currently sit in a promising 4th position on the Premier League table, having garnered 40 points from 20 league games in the ongoing 2023/24 campaign. Arteta is evidently aiming to bolster his squad for the title race, and sees Zubimendi as a player who could significantly contribute to Arsenal’s pursuit of success.

Zubimendi, the 24-year-old Spanish midfielder, has been in impressive form, having netted four goals and provided one assist this season for Real Sociedad. His potential addition to Arsenal’s midfield could inject creativity, energy, and goal-scoring threat, making him an attractive prospect for Arteta and the club as a whole.

As the January transfer window is now in full swing, the timing is ripe for Arsenal to make strategic moves in the transfer market. Arteta’s direct involvement in the pursuit of Zubimendi signals a proactive approach from the North London club, reflecting the significance of this potential signing.

With the combination of Arsenal’s current standing in the league and Zubimendi’s notable contributions at Real Sociedad, the prospect of this transfer is indeed intriguing. As the January transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on Arsenal and their pursuit of Martín Zubimendi, as they seek to further strengthen their squad and solidify their position as genuine title contenders in the Premier League.
