Arsenal star reveals how club leadership made him cry

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny recently revealed how the leadership of the club made him emotional when he was offered a new contract. Speaking to Evening Standard, Elneny expressed his gratitude and love for the club, stating that it was one of the happiest days of his life.

Elneny said, “The way they spoke to me, the way the entire club was happy about this decision, they made me cry this day.” The Egyptian international further emphasized his commitment to Arsenal, stating that he loves the club 100% and has no intention of leaving. In fact, he expressed his desire to stay at Arsenal and finish his career there.

The midfielder also shared an anecdote about how Arsenal’s management showed their support for him during a difficult time. Elneny had suffered an injury last season which prevented him from playing. However, despite his contract coming to an end and his inability to contribute on the field, Arsenal approached him immediately after the injury and expressed their desire for him to stay.

He recalled their words: “‘Mo, what sort of contract will it have to be? We love you here and we want you to stay.’ Really, this club is great.” Elneny’s admiration for Arsenal shines through in these quotes as he acknowledges their unwavering support and belief in him.
