Arteta speaks out on why they are better away than in home games

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shed light on the team’s better performances away from home compared to their struggles at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have won all three of their away games this season with a 1-0 scoreline, showcasing their defensive solidity and ability to grind out results.

Speaking to Arsenal Media, Arteta expressed his satisfaction with the team’s away form, particularly highlighting the clean sheets they have managed to maintain. He acknowledged that replicating these performances at home has been a challenge for the team.

“They’ve been different games but the outcome has been the same, and we are really happy that we can produce performances, especially with clean sheets, something that at home we’ve been struggling.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal Media.

“We’re going to need that, we play three games away in a row in eight days and it’s going to be crucial to maintain momentum, have a good feeling and go into the next one which is Bournemouth and it’s going to be a really tough match.”

Currently sitting in fifth position on the Premier League table with 14 points, Arsenal’s recent victory came in the Carabao Cup third round against Brentford, where they secured a 1-0 win. This result propelled them into the next round of the competition, providing a boost of confidence for the squad.

Looking ahead, Arteta emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as they face three consecutive away games in just eight days. The first challenge will be against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday. Arteta acknowledged that it will be a tough match but stressed the need for his players to carry forward their positive energy and secure another crucial victory.

The Gunners’ away form has been impressive so far this season, and Arteta will be hoping that his team can continue their winning streak on their travels. With solid defensive displays and an ability to grind out results, Arsenal will aim to improve their performances at home and climb up the Premier League table.
