Arsenal star set for exit as his next club sends plane to pick him up

Trabzonspor, the Turkish football club, has reportedly reached a total agreement with Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe. The 28-year-old player has verbally agreed to terminate his contract at Arsenal and join Trabzonspor. In an effort to expedite the process, Trabzonspor plans to send a private plane to England tonight to collect Pepe as per Turkish sources.

Pepe’s recent loan spell at French Ligue 1 side Nice last season saw him struggle to find his form, managing only six goals. However, he has now returned to Arsenal with hopes of reigniting his career. With the summer transfer window already closed for English teams, they are unable to sign new players but can still sell some of their existing players abroad.

This opportunity arises for Pepe as Turkey’s transfer window remains open, allowing Trabzonspor to secure his services. The Turkish club is keen on bolstering their squad and sees Pepe as a valuable addition.

Nicolas Pepe joined Arsenal in 2019 from Lille for a club-record fee of £72 million. However, he has failed to live up to expectations during his time in North London. Despite flashes of brilliance, inconsistency and injuries have hampered his progress.

A move to Trabzonspor could provide Pepe with a fresh start and an opportunity to rediscover his best form. The Turkish Super Lig is known for its competitive nature and could offer the winger the chance to showcase his skills on a regular basis.

As negotiations between Trabzonspor and Arsenal reach their conclusion, it remains to be seen how this move will impact both clubs. While Arsenal may be disappointed by Pepe’s inability to fulfill expectations, they may also see this as an opportunity to recoup some of their investment.

For Nicolas Pepe, this potential move represents a chance for redemption and a fresh start in Turkey. Only time will tell if this transfer materializes and if it will be the catalyst for a successful chapter in Pepe’s career.
