Arteta’s Arsenal reportedly ready to make a U-turn on Thomas Partey future

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium this summer and a report has revealed why Arteta might sell him on one condition.

It is understood that Arteta’s Arsenal are not eager to sell Thomas Partey this summer, with only a ‘huge’ offer being the only thing that can entice the club into sanctioning his departure as per a report by The Daily Mail. Thomas Partey has in the past few weeks been linked with an exit from Arsenal with Juventus and some Saudi clubs said to be interested.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfielder was impressive for Arsenal in the recently concluded season. Despite a challenging campaign for the Gunners, Partey stood out as one of their key players in midfield. He showcased his skills, versatility, and ability to control the game from the center of the park.

Partey’s impact was not limited to his defensive duties. He also contributed offensively, scoring three goals in the Premier League. His goals were crucial in helping Arsenal secure a second-place finish, which was an impressive achievement considering their struggles the season before.

However, despite his impressive performances, it seems that Mikel Arteta is ready to part ways with Partey this summer. The reasons behind this decision remain unclear, but it could be related to financial constraints or tactical considerations.

Arsenal’s reported reluctance to sell Partey indicates their belief in his abilities and importance to the team. They are not willing to let go of him easily and are demanding a substantial offer if any club wants to secure his services.

Juventus has emerged as one of the potential suitors for Partey. The Italian giants have been monitoring his progress and see him as a valuable addition to their squad. With Andrea Pirlo looking to strengthen his midfield options, Partey’s skill set would undoubtedly be an asset for Juventus.

Additionally, some Saudi clubs have also expressed interest in signing Partey. The allure of playing in a different league and potentially earning a lucrative contract could be tempting for the Ghanaian midfielder.

However, it remains uncertain whether any club will meet Arsenal’s demands and make a ‘huge’ offer for Partey. The financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the transfer market, making it difficult for clubs to spend big on players.

As the summer transfer window progresses, it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. Arsenal’s stance on Partey’s potential departure indicates their determination to hold onto him, but in football, anything can happen.

For now, Partey remains an integral part of Arsenal’s squad. His performances last season showcased his importance and value to the team. Whether he stays or leaves, his impact will undoubtedly be missed by the Gunners if he does depart this summer.
