The longevity of William Saliba’s new contract has been revealed

Arsenal has been in talks with the representatives of William Saliba for weeks now and now it looks like both of them have received a breakthrough.

Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as transfer news guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that William Saliba has accepted a new long-term deal with the club. The young defender started 27 league games for Arsenal last season and was considered one of the best players under Mikel Arteta before he got injured in the last months of the season.

Saliba’s new deal is set to run until June 2027, with an option for an additional year in 2028. The Frenchman is expected to sign the contract when he returns from his holidays.

The news will come as a boost to Arsenal fans who have been eagerly awaiting updates on Saliba’s future at the club.

Saliba’s new deal is a sign of Arsenal’s commitment to building a strong team for the future. With Arteta at the helm, Arsenal are looking to build a squad capable of challenging for major honours both domestically and in Europe.

Saliba has shown great potential since joining Arsenal from Saint-Etienne in 2019. He is highly regarded by Arteta and his coaching staff, who believe he has all the attributes needed to become one of the best defenders in Europe.

With Saliba now committed to Arsenal for the long term, fans can look forward to seeing him develop and grow into a key player for the club in the years ahead.
