REVEALED: The player Arsenal will sign if Thomas Partey leaves this summer

Arsenal will try to improve their squad in this summer transfer window and a report has revealed the player that the gunners could sign if Thomas Partey leaves.

Moises Caicedo Could Yet Become an Option for Arsenal if Thomas Partey Leaves

According to journalist Sam Dean, 21-year-old Moises Caicedo could yet become an option for Arsenal if Thomas Partey leaves. Caicedo is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, having helped Brighton to a sixth position on the premier league table.

Caicedo has been a standout performer for Brighton this season, impressing with his energy, work rate and technical ability. He has been a key player for Brighton & Hove Albion, helping them to secure a top-six finish in the Premier League.

The young midfielder has attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe, including Arsenal. The Gunners are reportedly monitoring his progress and could make a move for him if they lose Thomas Partey this summer.

Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid some time back but has struggled with injuries and inconsistency in the last moments of last season. The Ghanaian midfielder is reportedly considering his future at the club and could leave if he receives an attractive offer from elsewhere.

If Partey does leave, Caicedo could be an ideal replacement for him. The Ecuadorian midfielder is versatile and can play in several positions across midfield. He is also known for his physicality and ability to win tackles and duels in midfield.

However, Arsenal are not the only club interested in Caicedo’s services. Chelsea are also said to be monitoring his progress and could make a move for him this summer.

Meanwhile, another midfielder who could be on Arsenal’s radar is Ilkay Gundogan. The 32-year-old German international will be a free agent at the end of this month and Manchester City are trying to extend his deal but Arsenal are also pushing to sign him.

Overall, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a move for Caicedo or Gundogan this summer. However, both players would be excellent additions to the Gunners’ midfield and could help them improve on their disappointing season.
