Arsenal finished second on the Premier League in the recently concluded season and here are the main statistics of the North Londoners.

Despite missing out on the Premier League title, Arsenal had a successful season in the 2022/23 campaign, finishing in second place with 84 points. The Gunners won 26 games, drew six and lost six, showing consistency throughout the season.

Arsenal’s attacking prowess was on full display as they scored 88 goals in the league, the second-highest in the division. This was largely due to the contributions of star players such as Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard, who scored 14 and 15 goals respectively.

Defensively, Arsenal conceded 43 goals in the league, which was one of the best defensive record in the division. This was largely due to the impressive performances of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and centre-backs Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba.

Arsenal’s impressive goal difference of +45 was testament to their attacking prowess and solid defensive performances. This was the second-best goal difference in the Premier League, behind only champions Manchester City.

Despite falling short in their bid for the title, Arsenal’s performances this season showed that they are a team on the rise. The Gunners will be looking to build on their successful campaign and challenge for major honours next season.

Manager Mikel Arteta will be pleased with his side’s performances this season, but he will also be aware that there is still work to be done. Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their squad in key areas and continue to develop their young talent such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

In conclusion, Arsenal had a successful Premier League season in 2022/23, finishing in second place with 84 points. The Gunners showed consistency throughout the campaign and had the second-highest goal difference in the division.
