Jorginho personally gives confirmation on whether his leaving Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho who has been at the club for only a few months has finally given a confirmation on whether he is leaving the club.

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has put an end to speculation surrounding his future at the Emirates Stadium, stating that he is happy to stay at the club. The 31-year-old made 14 appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League since joining from Chelsea in the January transfer window, contributing with one assist.

Rumours had been circulating that Jorginho was looking for a move away from Arsenal this summer. However, the player himself has denied these claims, expressing his contentment with his current situation. “I’m very happy to stay at Arsenal to be honest,” Jorginho told The Standard. “Those rumours, I’m not sure who was behind it, to be honest, but nothing at the moment has happened to me. I’m quite happy where I am.”

Jorginho’s arrival at Arsenal coincided with their fierce title race against Manchester City in their bid to win the 2022/23 Premier League title. However, a defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week saw them lose out on the trophy to The Citizens. Despite leading the league table for 10 months this season, Arsenal had to settle for second place as Manchester City finished with 89 points compared to Arsenal’s 84.

The Brazilian midfielder’s performances have been solid since joining Arsenal, providing stability and experience in midfield. His ability to control possession and distribute the ball effectively has been crucial for Mikel Arteta’s side. Although his contribution in terms of goals and assists may not be significant, Jorginho’s presence on the pitch has certainly made a difference.

With his future now clarified, Jorginho can focus on helping Arsenal build on their successful season and challenge for silverware next year. The Gunners will be looking to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window and add quality players who can make an immediate impact.

Jorginho’s commitment to staying at Arsenal will provide stability and continuity in midfield, allowing Arteta to build a cohesive and competitive team. The midfielder’s experience and leadership qualities will be invaluable as Arsenal aim to challenge for the Premier League title once again.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal fans can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Jorginho is committed to the club. His presence in the squad will undoubtedly boost morale and give the team confidence heading into the new season. With Jorginho’s future secured, Arsenal can now focus on their recruitment plans and prepare for another exciting campaign in the Premier League.
