Ramsdale sends a message to Arsenal fans that called him sh*t when he first joined

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has recently signed a new contract and he has however sent a message to the gooners that were not happy with his arrival at first.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has signed a new long-term contract with the club, which will run until 2026 with the option of a further year to 2027. The news comes as a boost to Arsenal fans, who have been impressed with Ramsdale’s performances this season.

Ramsdale initially faced criticism when he first signed for Arsenal, but he has since won over the fans with his impressive displays between the sticks. The 25-year-old has kept 13 clean sheets for the Gunners this season, playing a key role in their push for the Premier League title.

In a message to Arsenal fans on the club’s official website, Ramsdale acknowledged the initial skepticism surrounding his signing but expressed his gratitude for the support he has received since joining the club.

“I know you guys probably weren’t the most overexcited for the signing of myself, and I totally get it. I don’t have any right to come here and expect you all to rate me from the get-go. This is a huge club and it’s had some top-class goalkeepers along the way,” Ramsdale said as per  Arsenal official website.

“But fair play, once I got into the team and I got my chance, I felt like we understood each other a lot more. I feel your love, and I feel like you feel mine as well. Hopefully, you get the idea that I give everything out there. It doesn’t matter how it happens, I take responsibility for keeping that ball out the back of the net. I’ll do anything in my power to get that clean sheet.”

Ramsdale’s contract extension is a sign of Arsenal’s faith in the young goalkeeper, who has quickly become a fan favorite at the Emirates Stadium. With his impressive performances this season, Ramsdale has shown that he has what it takes to compete at the highest level and could be a key player for Arsenal in the years to come.

Arsenal’s final two Premier League games are against Aston Villa and Burnley, and they will need to win both games and hope that Manchester City slip up in their remaining fixtures. Ramsdale will be hoping to play a crucial role in helping Arsenal secure the title, as they look to end their long wait for Premier League glory.
