Ramsdale sends a message to Arsenal fans after signing a new long-term deal

Arsenal has today announced that Aaron Ramsdale has signed a new long-term deal with the gunners and he has sent a message to the fans.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has signed a new long-term contract with the club, which will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2026, with the option of a further year to 2027. The news comes after Ramsdale’s impressive performances for Arsenal this season, which have seen him keep 13 clean sheets for the Gunners.

Speaking about his new deal, Ramsdale said as per Arsenal Media: “It’s a huge amount of pride, it’s something you work for. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been at the club for a month or for four years, you always want to get the next one and push on with the team.”

Ramsdale joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in August 2021 and has quickly established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. His performances have been key to Arsenal’s success this season, as they are currently second on the Premier League table with 81 points after 36 games.

Despite being in a title race with Manchester City, who are currently first on the table with 85 points plus one game in hand, Ramsdale is confident that Arsenal can continue their strong form and challenge for silverware.

“To get [the contract extension] after two years, I’m buzzing,” he said. “It just means I can concentrate and keep my head down, and hopefully after a few more years I’ll get another one and carry on living the dream at the football club.”

Ramsdale’s new contract is a sign of Arsenal’s ambition to build a strong squad capable of challenging for major honours in the coming seasons.

As Arsenal continue their push for a top-two finish and potentially even the Premier League title this season, Ramsdale’s new contract is a boost for the club and its fans. The goalkeeper’s performances have been crucial to their success so far, and his commitment to the club will be key in their future ambitions.
