Arsenal are in a title race as they are currently first on the Premier League table with 69 points after 28 games but are closely followed by second placed Manchester City which has 61 points plus a game in hand. As the club looks to secure their first Premier League title since 2004, they have also been busy in the transfer market, looking to secure the futures of some of their key players.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal’s focus right now is on extending William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale’s deals, then other players will be invited to discuss their terms with the club too.
William Saliba joined Arsenal from Saint-Étienne in 2019 but it was this season that he finally got the chance to show his talent at the Emirates Stadium and he has quickly become a fan favourite thanks to his impressive performances.

Bukayo Saka has been one of Arsenal’s most impressive players this season, scoring 12 goals as well as providing 10 assists in all competitions.
Aaron Ramsdale has also been impressive for Arsenal this season. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has kept 12 clean sheets this season and is seen as an important part of Mikel Arteta’s plans going forward.
Finally, Granit Xhaka is another player that Arsenal are keen to keep hold of. The Swiss midfielder has been at the club since 2016 and there is an option on the club’s side to extend his contract until June 2025, so there’s no panic to renew at the moment.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal can tie down these three key players before their contracts expire but it looks like they are doing all they can to ensure that they remain at the Emirates Stadium for years to come. With a Premier League title within reach, securing these three players could be crucial in helping them achieve their goal this season.
